If you're up for a fun family road trip, head just over 5 hours east to the Lake George area! Whether you enjoy hotels, resorts or camping, there are a TON of places to stay. Lake George has a LOT of offer, from a mountain vibe to a resort vibe to great shopping and restaurants, Lake George has it ALL.
Where to stay -- We chose to bring our travel trailer and stay at Moose Hillock Camping Resort in Fort Ann. This is the campground that has the BEST location to enjoy everything in the Lake George area, plus it's 10 minutes away from great hiking and kayaking. The best part was the waterpark-like zero entry pool, with 2 waterslides and waterfalls. We highly recommend Moose Hillock!
